Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat,' where she played a Punjabi middle class woman who launched her own venture. The film was an unexpected success and received good reviews. In Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka's three-film contract under Yash Raj Films banner was complete.
